April Issue – Real Tragedy Strikes Several Local Families

The new April issue will arrive in mail boxes and retail stacks next week. Thank you for your calls and taking time to share what you as Community like most or would like to see differently.

Some of you desire more hard-local-news. Others want “bling” in the paper. Donna’s Kitchen has a very loyal following that has expanded beyond our footprint. Some of you thrill to politics. Others are equally repelled by politics. Every month is a challenge to find and provide something that satisfies the special interests of the majority of our readers.

Late March was our deadline for news and articles. Then real tragedy struck several local families. Rather than publish several half-baked articles similar to the big daily/weekly news groups, we slowed down and took time to gather real facts about the needs of certain families in our area.

One topic that shouldn’t wait until next week’s printing is the immediate need for a Rental Home in our area. Last week Boring Fire reported a local Damascus family of 5 became homeless due to a fire on Borges Road. The family is safe but has a new daughter born only days before the fire. Please call The Sunrise Times if you have or know of a rental in this area so the family’s 2 boys can stay in their respective schools. 503-658-5056

Due to publishing just once a month in a print format, we plan to use this website as a way to keep you informed between issues so please return to this website as often as possible.

Please continue to report news and content to us. We are a volunteer staff. It is YOUR eyes/ears/knowledge that helps keep us from being the “LAST TO KNOW”. Thank you!
